Q4 2026 User Group Call

The SurfnOnline User Group met on October 13, 2026 for its quarterly update on the software. Members of the user community gathered to review the latest platform release, walk through updates across the NUFMAP application suite, and discuss priorities for upcoming development. The quarterly call gives users a regular forum to see what has changed and to help shape where the software goes next.

Surfn 3.4.0, deployed to all server instances as of October 10, 2026, reorganizes how SurfnOnline stores and works with data. Active data files now live in their own directory, separate from configuration and archives, and databases are a distinct class that cases can declare directly with read-only or read-write access, with an automatic snapshot taken before any writable run. A new Database Explorer lets users browse schemas, page through and filter data, run search queries, and export to CSV. The File Manager adds multi-file upload, in-place rename, and read-only previews of spreadsheet and CSV files; SupplyManager gains configurable delivery notification rules; the Divers module now opens with site selection, matching Monthly Close; and the Current Estimate adds scenario snapshots. Beneath the interface, the release adds two new framework components, 18 automated test suites totaling roughly 1,400 tests, refreshed libraries, and updated documentation including a new Scenarios and Cases training guide, laying groundwork for the features to come.

On the NUFMAP side, ESM 3.3.6 introduces a day-detail cash payment report with CSV output, consolidated delivery notifications with a delivery site column, and location filtering for finance charge reporting. LPGEN 3.10.4 can now read fuel vendor output directly to define fuel types, and the new Nufcompare utility compares NUFMAP reports and files. Users can choose among several available releases of an application by appending a version number to its declaration, or set the production default from the Utilities menu. Modernization continues: every NUFMAP code has completed its initial restructuring to a more consistent coding standard, and the new Intrac and Nutrac Surfn libraries, now in beta, add capabilities such as staged processing for review before data is committed, vendor source profiles, and purchase order commitment checks. Looking ahead, Surfn 3.4.1 is planned to bring fuel receipt accountability built on the Nutrac library and project costs in SupplyManager, with Invoice Processing upgrades built on the Intrac library to follow in 3.4.2.

The next quarterly call will be held on Microsoft Teams on January 12, 2027 at 2:30 p.m. Eastern. An in-person User Group meeting is planned for 2027, with the date still being determined.
